Client Request
Mood Seoul is a high-end bar located on an artificial island on the Han-Gang in Seoul, primarily used for dinners and live performances. The client requested motion graphics that would represent the bar's atmosphere.
During the site visit, the first thing I noticed was the black and silver interior palette. I initially considered matching that tone and manner, but the client requested visuals with contrasting colors to stand out against the existing environment. Because the content would loop continuously, I designed a seamless pattern motion graphic that plays without visible breaks.
Pattern Design
The pattern captures experiences which audiences can expect from the bar. The goal was to create a continuous sense of flow from top to bottom, so all motion was designed to drift downward throughout the loop. After arranging the pattern as tiles, I applied time displacement to offset each tile, ensuring the same moment in the animation would not appear across the entire screen at once.
